Fact about Game Development.

1.You think of the best game dev idea ever.
2.You spend months or even years on that game.
3.After some time, You discover that the idea you had got has been used by a famous game.
4.And you die inside repeatedly.

If the idea is used by a famous game (AAA) then it wasn't that unique of a idea because those studios do not gamble with game mechanics. If it was used by a random indie studio it was damn unlucky but you know that your idea was good and that you are capable of coming up with good ideas. So it's a win nevertheless.
