Protip:

If I send you an email and it isn't urgent ... you don't have to reply and tell me:

"I'm on my way into the office, I'll respond when I get into the office."

All you did was waste time for both of us and your archive on send feature probably means you're going to forget that you got that email.

It's not helpful.... stop that...

They are another category of caring people.

I once tried to counter this by replying something akin to:

"Sure, I'm off to lunch now so I may not see your reply straight after you get to the office, I'll let you know when I'm on my way back from lunch so you know when to expect my reply"

    ...unfortunately I then had...

"Thanks so much, that's super helpful, most others aren't so proactive in reading emails and it's really annoying"

    😳

I tend to despise every email that comes from any other department but I.T

I have one dude in particular that writes entire books explaining to us why he needs X, X usually resorts to something really-fucking-small like changing a title on a web page or adding some documents to the CMS or something along those lines. I have politely told this dude in particular before to just tell us what he needs and unless we require a higher form of authorization that we could get into details.
