For me: emotions, faith in humanity, trust in government. Definitely lacking these.

Not sure I agree.

The things I'm cynical about are the things where my amount of passion is furthest removed from other people's amount of passion.

For example when it comes to code: Performance, security, uniform structure.

I get cynical when I stand alone in my advocacy for a topic.
