I hate it when people ask me how I am when I know they don’t care and just use it as a segue to ask for favours.

I used to be quite “aggressive” and reply without the expected response of “and you?” - just to see if they actually gave a shit. Every time, they’d respond as if I had asked - and every time they proved me right.
