You can't put a fucking login wall when I try to unsubscribe from your newsletter, you fucking asshole.
The reason I want to unsubscribe is because I don't fucking care anymore, which means I don't remember my password, and can't login and unsubscribe because you, fucking bastard, made a not working password recovery just to let me give up and never unsubscribe.
It's been 3 years… leave me alone.

Send the case to the local privacy guarantor and if you are from the USA still point out the case to eu, cause regardless where you are from people from the eu can subscribe to that website 😎

@alexbrooklyn the problem here is exactly that! The password recovery doesn't work, I don't receive the email with the reset link…

I click the link, and wait a second or two for the page to load on whatever device and connection I'm using at the moment. If it tells me that I have been unsubscribed, return, otherwise locate the plainly visible unsubscribe button and click it. If it tells me that I have been unsubscribed, return. If this algorithm doesn't work, I go back to the email client and mark all email received from the company including non-advertisement mail as spam.

I don't give a fuck about your profits and rating. If you don't play nice I have no reasn to.

Generally, I have come to the conclusion that under capitalism the best way to promote friendly business is to sabotage unfriendly companies in every way I can. Ideally they would recognize this and change their ways, but realistically I'm just giving friendly business practices a competitive advantage.

Treat them like a spammer, because now they are one:
If you normally sue spammers, do that.
If you normally mark spam as spam and let your spam filter handle it in the future - do that.
Whatever you normally do with spam, do with that "newsletters".
