Holy shit, how come that so many IT-firms are totally missing SPF-record?!

    Probably they are lazy fucks or not that good at what they are doing.

    Does an empty SPF record imply that any server can utilize the hostname in its sender address?

    @Linux The reasonable default would be to just spam mark emails sent without SPF, but I guess the providers are equally ignorant then

    That would mark 95% of every company this planet as spammers.

    Because they don't have devs who also know some sysadmin, like me.

    SPF, DKIM, DMARC are quite easy to implement and in some cases (like G Suite) anyone can do it in a couple of minutes.
