PMs are getting to me so much and ruining so much in this industry that I'm considering leaving it. I'm heavily considering teaching instead. I don't need someone who doesn't even hold a degree in a related field telling me what to do, giving me shit, and telling me I'm wrong. I have a masters in this, you assholes.

I left corporate world mainly because of dealing with pretty young project managers backstabbing me an plotting against the developers with management. Not all are like this but this is what they hired and promoted at my old job. I quit to freelance and teach.

I can cope to some extent with everything except :"no you're wrong, you don't understand" bs.. that crap really grinds my gears ..

I got told to "shut up" at a meeting one time. That was the day I vowed to leave corporate life. I had put up with many other incidents like this. I believe a good group of developers can absorb the pm role and we would be better off without them.

I consider myself lucky - my PM is a former developer, and he even helps me with SQL once in a while! He's awesome. 😄
