Anybody has some development experience in sharepoint?

I'm thinking of starting a project in sharepoint, quite big e learning platform.

Pros and cons please?

1) You will need your own data centre to start up an instance.
2) You will know 3 mortgages to actually buy the licences to deploy it for any number of users.
3) You will need an army of trainers to help people learn how to use any part of it.

I'm exaggerating, but SharePoint is a monster. It will break your heart. Although I confess it is a number of years since I've used it in anger.

Just use brackets with live-dev.

@cranky@CrankyOldDev well a company already got everything setup got it. I was thinking about asp.net 4.5 with angular or sharepoint.
