How do I quit a great job? How do I tell this to my boss who doesn't want me to leave?

How come you need to leave? What happened?

@alexbrooklyn I want a gap year to just travel and enjoy life again. This job has been high maintenance and stressful for too long.
A friend suggested: request a stupendous sum for a salary as well as other benefits, and watch them let you go.
Problem is: they agreed. It doesn't solve my issue.

Help comes from within first.

Say "I'm leaving" and nothing else.

@SortOth based on that I would instead just ask for a one month unpaid sabbatical and come back. Then keep strict work life balance.
