We once literally had to install an older JDK to learn working with features that got deprecated years ago, don't exist anymore in current versions and are documented like ass.

@BimaAdi Nah, they use it because that's the last one their lecturers stayed up to date with. Latest LTS is 11 which has been out for years. Heck, the next LTS is due out in a few months.

TheEnd7043yPlus, didn’t Oracle drastically change things after Java 8 in an attempt to really slim down the JDK? Granted, I’m not a Java expert but do support some Java apps for work. Upgrading to Java 11 was a bit of a pain.
