Wordpress :(

Here is another piece of garbage from a previous Wordpress "developer".

This is NOT the generated HTML, it's the actual source code within a custom category template.

The client has said their archives stopped working this year.

*** MASSIVE FACE PALM ***

Triple facepalm oh my FUCKING GOD xD

The final insult to this is the fact the customers thinks me moving them from godaddy to AWS has caused this.

They said the "error" has only come about since the server move.

    More face palm :(

@linuxxx hardcoded years in static links

Haha I think it's rather cute of the client to say "stopped working this year"

@runfrodorun lol nice i would have wasted more time making a for loop for it but your way is so much quicker

@jckimble ironic thing is that Wordpress has a very simple function to display a list of archive links grouped by year. It actually takes more effort to hardcode in the HTML :)

@ultrono i don't screw with wordpress so I'll have to take your word for it

@jckimble I try my best not to. A quick google helped me :)

@ultrono yeah i go out of my way to avoid wordpress and that is unbelivably hard running an hosting company. It's just unbearable how many fucktards use wordpress for sites with no blog, then complain when wordpress file permissions and an outdated plugin gets them hacked

I can do one better. I've seen production code at an enterprise like that. Apparently, we were just supposed to shut down at the beginning of their fiscal year.
