Three days I'm not there, three bloody days and the 2nd sys admin has managed to:

Destroy the auto load balancing that I have scripted and implemented

Fuck up the backups to the cloud, and to a tape drive.

Overload a physical server (in pic, #1 and #2 are hypervisors). This is just one smaller site, I would hate to know what he has done elsewhere.

This is why I'm moving into dev.

By the way, the moment 70 users decide to open Excel, the load balancer isn't there, so booooom there goes appsever

Is this one of those cases where they.l should have known better or are they just inexperienced?

@daarkfall ten times more qualified than me on paper. So probably just a dumbass, but he will feel my fury.

    Update.

Sat down with him and spoke about the whole situation. Asked him why he did it, "I was in crisis mode and rushed".

I have shown him the correct way to do things, and have further simplified procedural papers (so that the only excuse he has next time, is that he was plain reckless).

What's more than anyone's fault is my own trust and faith in someone's skills on paper and not behind a pc. (he has been here for a while though)

    Learnt my lesson.
