I can only comment for myself, but they stood behind their lifetime warranty. Had an issue with a hard drive upgrade on my 6+ year old laptop and their support didn't hesitate to help. No nonsense trying to get me to upgrade, blame me for the installation (looking at you Dell), etc. -
hjk10156963yHardware failure and terrible service (b2b) that is my life long experience with Asus.
Gigabyte stuff was always ok with me MSI, the best. But even so (with exception of b2b) I'm a sample of about 3. Same goes for that one review. With the warrantee I would risk it -
The one thing I didn't like about a couple of the processors they are pushing for games is that they end up only have 8 threads for 2 of the top intel processors.
I finally went for a amd based cpu as it has 16 threads and a 2060 gpu. Not the latest spanking lappy I can get, but it was 1700 total.

We will see how this turns out. -
@Demolishun "You had any issues with overheating" > Sort of. Ever had one of those 'duh' moments where you should know better? Last year my laptop started to overheat, like get hot enough to shut itself down. I thought "It is getting pretty old, I should buy a new one before this one completely craps out." My very, very non-technical wife says "When was the last time you opened that thing up and cleaned it out. I'll bet its a dusty mess." Dang it...I opened up the case, let loose the compressed air in the air vent and poof...a big cloud of dust. She saved me around $2,500+. Hasn't over heated since. My monkey brain never considered the easy answer+solution. I can't comment on the new models, but my originpc laptop's fan is *loud*. I wear decent headphones, so I don't notice that much. Fan noise should be a consideration for your next laptop.

Anybody know anything about this laptop:

I want to upgrade my current rig and want it to be an epic update. However, I found one review and it had a hardware failure.
Is there a better place to buy laptops that have power (GPU, CPU), but don't die from overheating?
