I'm pissed at my cousin who's studying IT at the moment. He wants to copy my thesis project(from 3 years ago) and make it his own for his thesis project this year. Like woah dude! Can't you be creative, work hard, and make a project of your own because that's for your own good? And don't you dare bring up the "I'm your cousin, pretty please"-card up! He also wants me to lie if his professor contacts me and tell that he was part of the project. Are you effin' kidding me? You didn't know how to code 3 years ago! How would you expect me to tell your prof that you were part of the team? I just gave him the documentation(without the source code) and I said I lost the apk. That's just how far I can go for someone like that 😕

Is it the same university and professor? I'm pretty sure they run everything through a national plagiarism checker, so if you did give him anything, you'd get found out.

@drRoss it's a different university and professor. My cousin included me as the referrence in the project. His reasoning is pretty much stupid tbh. Exactly my thoughts about plagiarism

If he can't do stuff for himself in school, he won't be able to do it in a job.

Since when does a technology education require you to write a thesis paper? The most I ever had to do when I was studying CEn was writing documentation.

Copying your thesis verbatim makes your cousin a proper wanker.

Using your thesis as a basis for research is a different thing all together.

Still your cousin is a bastard for not having any original work. Rest assure it will come back to haunt him.
