Hey I have an idea ! Why not we developers normalise the IKEA way of delivering project to customers? Let me introduce the DO IT YOURSELF software .

Here's how it is done , we set up environment for the client , write manuals , design and pass it over to the customer , let them DIY it by code for themself!

    @UnicornPoo +1

    @johnmelodyme as the Poo poo said, that's basically no code/low code platforms with drag and drop UI components.

    Only good for static sites and even for those we need help from devs.

    I have built 2 such sites using Google Sites (by far the best no code out of the garbage pile of shit available out there)
    floydimus.prismo.net
    ProductX.io

    While you have a great idea and possible doable in future (maybe 3021), but by then human race would have wiped out itself. So for now we can go back to watching midget porn.

    Here's the problem: they pay you to solve their problems, not to push over some half-done crap. If you don't want to do your job, they have no reason to pay you.

    This is a thing already in Platform Engineering teams, where one of the driving principles is creating Self-serviceable low-friction tech for other teams (even non-technical).
