I once used Wordpress for my portfolio. I now feel dirty. I know there are some who wouldn't admit that they use wp sometimes and that's understandable. I think making my own cms would be better. Has anyone of you here done that? What back-end tool did you use?

Why reinvent the wheel of not needed and no-one is paying you to?

WordPress is a tool that's great for low-budget stuff so don't sweat over it.

PS: Don't forget to update it.
PPS: Not saying there aren't better tools than WordPress.

@nickpapoutsis Thanks. I really appreciate sharing your point of view. I wanted to do it for learning purposes as well.

@norman70688 in my case, wordpress don't work as I need everything is a plugin and I hate this behavior that's why always build a custom CMS 😁😁

@abr4xas and this my friend is why wp is somehow cool, you dont need plugins, you can xtend it fo example by including your code as a hook in the functions .php
I bet wordpress has everything you need :D
