Fun fact: the word “short” is longer than the word “long”

    Another curiosity: "Brooklyn bridge" is longer than "your mom".

    @LemonShot @Ezard on both accounts not in my language. Which is quite unique as generally stuff is about a fourth longer than in English:

    Nederlands is vergeleken met Engels langdradiger.
    Dutch is compared to English long-winded.

    For another irrational quirk, all odd numbers include “e” — and e is both shorter and the same length as pi.

    @hjk101 short (kort) and long (lang) are just as long, that is a bit less weird but still quite.

    Also yeah the Dutch pronunciation of w is much easier
