aren't group chats like this discord clone dangerous in china? like if someone posts non government approved content "spreading rumors" to an chat room with 3000+ users?

@heyheni Not really. Group chats are pretty common in WeChat to the point where a direct chat is just a 2 person group chat and you can easily just invite others to it.

I'm kimna surprised and not that they cloned discord.

That gives the government of course much more leverage to check all chats if needed (and they probably do).
