That's almost exactly what our stories feature is.

@dfox, aye, stories are good. There are times though where you want to read the shorter rants.

I downvote when I see them (as not for me), but the amount is beginning to increase a lot, and they get a lot more upvotes than actual rants.

It may be more users, but it's a different class of users. I've seen it on other services (xda) where quantity beats out quality.
