Is it worth learning JavaEE or should I just hack something together and hope it doesn't explode?

@SteffTek I need to modify a ubiquity unifi captive portal, which seems to run on some kind of jsp.
And it's probably a one time job once it's set up.
The better question would have been, is JavaEE used anywhere or do I just need to get the work done.

@vringar it's probably not false to learn something new. But for an one timer I would try to google something together.

Jsp is a beacon of light in the darkness of web development.

Also you dont really need extensive jee knowledge to do some jsp
