So I got my internship grades today... The fucking bastards gave me a 16.8 out of 20 when I had to work my ass off on legacy VB6 code, using poorly documented add-ons and barely asked for help. I always tried to figure things out myself and that helped me learn that useless crap. But they rate me that low after all the effort I put into a payless job?

So you mean that not only was I not paid, they were also not thankful for said unpaid job. Fucking waste of half a year.

    Look on the brightside your sexy classmate whose project you coded all by yourself got a fking job offer and a bonus trip to St. Lucia (for 2) for being a sweet talking, eyelid flapping sl*g, and she didn't even take you to St. Lucia. endRant;

    Working hard will pay off for you down the road. They just did not appreciate. Their fault not yours.

    Unpaid internships with grades were the best idea I ever had!

    You get hard working students (at least they should if they want a good grade) for free and moreover they're totally dependent on your good will because you get to grade them.

    Don't let me get in your head!

    +1 coz it's a proper rant

    @Jumpshot44 this messes up my average. The bastards didn't even consider that. Legit pissed. This is the rantiest I have ever ranted.

    @gustash, have you tried contacting them to see why they gave you such a rating and see if they could correct it with your school?

    @turturtles they won't, they took a month to finally issue the grades. They are so busy they just don't give a fuck

    If only there was a way to review the interns employer...

    @turturtles my school doesn't give a fuck about these things. I just want to get out of there. Good thing it's the last year.

    Well maybe it doesn't have to be through the school. Maybe something like ratemyprofessor but for internships if it doesn't already exist.

    @turturtles Glassdoor would be a good start to warn future interns?

    Yes. Like Glassdoor lol

    neverWorkForFree = new lifeLesson ();

    Internships do not increase chances in job market.
    Most reputable companies will pay you as a contractor for test work.

    Hope this 1+ takes some of the sting away.

    Just remember, grades in college are meaningless as long as you graduate. Don't let school get in the way of your education.

    @nerd-san the problem is I'm not in college yet, I'm in the 12th grade, so it does matter so I can get in the univ I want...
