The whole day was wrestling with two teams.

Team A thinks the database must be used this way.

Team B ... *drumroll please* thinks the database must be used in another way.

Guess what. When you try to enforce both ways at the same time on a shared resource, it ends bad.

Who could have imagined.

(A is heavy frequency, low throughput - B is lower frequency, but high throughput... So yeah. When you bomb the database with a fuckton of queries and at the same time drain the bandwidth it ends bad.)
