How much does HR really believe in personality surveys?

From experience in some big companies, they can rely on questionably scientific pop psychology tests like Myers-Briggs or Insight. If anyone in the place got brains, it's not taken seriously.

It's glorified horoscope and not considered serious by any scientists.

    depends on whether they're educated
but by and large I'd say only low level managers at gas stations believe in personality exams.

it was a joke when I was young.

'just say what you think they want to hear'

@atheist sometimes it's to listen to your concerns and use them against you XD

You all bring reasonable points. I had to answer a short survey filled with questions like "Choose the term that most describes you and the one that least describes you among these 5 options"

I got a 10 page pdf back showing my "results" and while some of it was accurate, most of it was completely off or very exaggerated.
