Funny thing: Your opinion doesn't matter.
:)
While some have this high "I must look perfect thing" attitude, I am always more fond of non-perfect looking persons.
For example, I dislike someone who looks like a walking michelin man — muscled okay, but If you can't scratch your back because your arms are in your way, it's quite silly. ^^ -
For the OP, I am a lady and if there is a possibility that you feel like that an ugly face means women are not getting attracted to you then I will say thia cliched thing that is also very true that, your personality matters a lot and your face is not the beauty standard, you can tone your body and have a good dressing to look attractive. Mostly looking decent is good.
Seriously if some woman gives you attention for being good looking I don't think that thing will work in long term -
@true-dev001 :) ;)
The thing about skin is that it has a very unique feeling.
One thing I could never grok was the love for tons of makeup.
Be it scars of acne, lil deformations, the structure of the bones... Feeling and touching things can be very stimulating sexually speaking.
It's an interesting experience to not see someone, but rather feel them with your fingertips.
Enough sex talk, but yeah. Might be a reason I have a slight scar fetish. 😆 -
ars140543y@true-dev001 I think it's more of a self appreciation thing. You know that feel you get when you have a good suite of automated tests, all green after a refactor? Or how you can see your code performing better after a good refactor? I get a similar feel from exercising. I like improving things, there's this fuzzy feeling I get. No need to get to be Michelin guy, I also think it looks silly. But a nice toned body feels good to have. Would be nice to be able to do something to my face as well but there's no workout for that.
Not gonna lie though, it does feel bad being ignored sometimes. But yeah relationships are more complicated than looking good for sure. -
@ars1 can understand the self appreciation thing. Though that's broken in my firmware. XD
I guess what I was trying to say is: Don't think about it too much. Your face won't be a problem if you find a connection with someone.
If I'd known you better, this would be time that I'd smack your arse and tell you that there's even more than inner values that can be quite "persuading".
*hrhrhhrrhrhrhr* -
@IntrusionCM Haha.. never heard about a scar fetish.
I think your love language is touching then. It's always different for different people. -
@ars1 Just a question, why do you think that you are being ignored because of the way you look? I mean, I can say from my experience, I look average and still ignored sometimes just because my voice is soft, sometimes I'm not confident enough so couldn't be seen as a person who knows what's right.
-
ars140543y@true-dev001 It could be something else yeah, I'm just inferring that looks are the issue given that I've noticed people losing interest after the first meeting, despite chatting just fine before that. I can't ever know for sure of course, and conversing online and offline is different, so perhaps my offline me wasn't to their liking.
It's also because I have a 1 big unattractive physical trait, which has been pointed out to me before in quite rude ways, at different times, in different places, by different people. So that could easily be one of the main problems. Or could be me having a complex.
I guess this is more about me wishing I could do something about it through hard work.
Kinda weird for people to ignore you because you have a soft voice! Perhaps it's a cultural thing? -
@ars1 It's really rude if people point out like that. If those people are not important to you or cannot harm you or hurt you or maybe just acquaintance, it's safe to just have a standard reply to all of them.

Exercise feels like a must do, given that my job is sitting for hours on end, slamming my face on the keyboard.
Been working out 5 days a week, just a bit. Consistency is good and it feels nice seeing results even if they take a while. Definitely recommended!
Then I remembered that I can't "work out" my ugly mug. No matter the effort, you can't tone a fucked up face, chin, nose, whatever, like you can tone your arms or ass. Feels like a case of hard work vs talent, but worse.
