It’s their reaction that incited so called hate and so far as I can tell it was meant to

"hate speech" is such a confusing concept these days.

Quote 1: Netflix doesn’t allow titles on its service “that are designed to incite hate or violence..."

Quote 2: When asked to define how Netflix defines hate speech, Sarandos said that the company draws the line “on something that would intentionally call for physically harming other people or even remove protections. For me, intent to cause physical harm crosses the line, for sure.”

I mean if hate speech is something that incites violence, then when I say something not politically correct as a joke, and everyone understands it's a joke, then it's not hate speech... Even worse... what if 90% of people understand that it's a joke but 10% get offended? is it hate speech?.. who is being hateful and violent? not me, because it was a joke... not the 90% because they get it... so is it the 10%? Are the people that get offended the actual hateful people so hate speech is censored because they can't control themselves?

    Con'd:

Yes, I'm using a fair share of mental gymnastics there, but that's because I want to underline how ridiculous the definition is... if hate speech needs to be something that incites hate... and you say something racist but it doesn't incite hate in anyone... then it shouldn't be hate speech... so either the definition is wrong or the entire concept of offending people being illegal is wrong...

Good luck redefining hate speech as something objective though, it's not possible as far as I can tell. And subjectivity can't be made into a law, because obviously, it's subjective.

I don't like the terminology and I think it's bullshit and it's pretty annoying to me when people have to dance around badly defined terms just to not get their lifes ruined by twitter :)

@Hazarth well chapelle didn’t say “gat yo torches and lynchin ropes boys it’s time to hang some queer boys who think they’re women”

He made jokes about people who have a ridiculous lifestyle and were being riled up to be extremely sensitive by an era that was designed to rile everyone up

    So I’m with you
No one says you can’t call someone who’s opinion differs a fucking moron if that’s what you believe excepting these people who compare you to another hitler

Far as I’m concerned until people were complaining I didn’t know chapelle had put out anything new so it served as advertising lol

And it was worth the wait lol

I don’t hate lady boys who ruin their own penises in contravention of male survival instinct

I just don’t understand why this is looked at as something other than a mental disorder

If it wasn’t for many a straight mans curiosity about watching a shemale bang a female this likely would not have gotten so far lol

@Hazarth yes they did coin a whole
Lexicon of idiocy making every flawed concept that was given a loosely defined buzzword a thing didn’t they

@Hazarth in a really tricky way promoting the most insanely stupid lifestyle choices and watching people turn quite fascist who stood behind them behind the general outcry of people wanting to be as they were has created trouble for everyone else and the fallout from this period is still being felt

    @AvatarOfKaine

"I just don’t understand why this is looked at as something other than a mental disorder"

this exactly. I've been asking this question ever since this became such a huge deal.

I kinda understand, that those people feel uncomfortable being marked as having a mental disorder and job seeking is then harder for them... but at the same time if we stop treating this as a mental disorder and instead celebrate it, we also halt science creating a cure for this.

Imagine we finally figure out which genes or mechanism are responsible for this and we could prevent people from having this issue... The current culture would be upset and holding protests against a literal step trying to spare future children from the same ostracization homo and trans people have to go through.

That's quite a scary thought for me to think, that actual progress might be halted because society decided to celebrate a mental disorder... we already allow child mutilation because of it so...

@Hazarth and while arguing about this and the fake disease people have been touting as real which so far as I can tell just tricked people into washing their hands more and not spreading the flu as fast the real problems continue to not be. Attended to or even noticed

    It’s disgusting

If forced to live a civilian life All I personally wanted in life was more security more sex and less headaches while I did my goddamn job

And to ease things that make sense to ease like finding another job lol keeping my possessions and remaining in a house

The real social terrorists are connected to these groups that spout this inane shit and draw national attention away from the economy from social safety nets and away from people who are being dropped on their asses in the street as the country goes psycho without explanation

@Hazarth well I mean I’d preach a little more tolerance but yeah

Like if a guy wears a dress on Tuesday in a bar I don’t care

Legislation telling me that I should have to call him a female or i lose my job is another thing

@Hazarth and the issue is also the next generation

We have fucked up parents hitting the news who are polluting their children who are in fucking kindergarten into thinking they are transgendered

    Wtf ?

@AvatarOfKaine I seldom find myself agreeing with you, but we're totally on the same page on this issue. Cheers o/

All parents that project their sexual insecurity on their children should be in prison or at the very least very ashamed of themselves...

    @Hazarth

    https://youtube.com/shorts/...

Yes they should feel like fucking idiots that wasted all of our time for no reason whatsoever and made everything more nutty unpleasant and stupid

@Hazarth I doubt I’d have invented the cure for cancer personally but I definitely would have made helpful discoveries that a deserving culture and society could have benefited from

Instead around 36 years old I got schooled in how people are fucked up evil lying twats that dug themselves so deep and tried to browbeat us into playing along through threats and pressure and now this retarded loop is what we get

    But hey keep lying
    It’s worked so well

@Hazarth so what I dealt with and am dealing with are official excuses to steal my property and rewind everything and make me think I’m back in 2008 to 2013 again while everyone else decays and Rots around me

And as can be seen that works out sooooo well for all involved

Including the people who stole my earlier life trying to pretend to be normal heh

In the 21st century, we don't burn witches and queers anymore - that would generate too much CO2.

Hate speech as defined by the media is "does not follow the current media narrative for the bullshit they want to cram down your throat". So disagreeing with the bullshit media narrative is hate speech. The media is the enemy of the people and of freedom.

I tried watching Chapelle after I saw this "controversy". I found him to be disgusting. But I find it interesting that he is being beat up for calling an apple an apple and an orange an orange.
