one day aliens will study the ruins of our civilization and fail to understand the purpose of spreadsheets. either that or they'll know more than we do now

Computers, materials, and many other sciences exploded at an incredible rate shortly after we allegedly recovered a downed saucer. The place that received the wreckage was a top secret location used to develop the nuclear bomb. It later became an advanced materials laboratory. I think this may be where we got carbon fiber. So I think they already been hear and we been scavenging their tech make new stuff.

I find when asking questions about this incident you can make up your own mind as to what happened:

@darksideofyay spreadsheets are good for small arrangements of data or form creation though. I used to use them for cost analysis and reporting.

@AvatarOfKaine ikr? i love them honestly, for small, contained stuff, but my company uses them for too much crap... i get 8 million lines per sheet, and then i gotta migrate everything to a proper database so they can use it for something... the computer can't take it

@darksideofyay hehe yeah and thats always fun if the provider was like it used to be so you'd have to fuck around with reformatting data or shit getting cut off or exporting as text in scientific notation etc etc etc

@darksideofyay or this line had a comma in it and it makes an import fail somewhere along the line

@darksideofyay see we're talking about the same thing and you know what i'm depressed about ?

It was aliens who brought them to us in the first place. They did it just to troll us.
