Wait what.......

There is a unicode space character on line 42. You can't see it, and the compiler doesn't know about Unicode general ctagory and therefore thinks it is a symbol.

Happened to me once for a multi-threaded python application.
Tried deleting all pyc files.

Eventually restarted the IDE and it magically disappeared.

After wasting 1 day on it, converted the particular flow to single threaded, but the problem persisted.
Restarted the IDE, reverted to multi-threads and worked like a charm.

Well, this must be from another galaxy because here 42 is NOT the answer
