I think "bug" is too offensive for insects. I'll call it software behaviour different than expected.

and feature might offend the indian software so call it 'expected enhancement that may or may not be better than other enhancements occurring in that other software'

Unexpected behavior is a valid term

Well now you're just going to hurt the feelings of the software...

It's trying the best it can, but its parents fucked it up bad and it's going through some serious shit right now.

In all seriousness, it shouldn't be considered offensive. It's not derogatory. The event that gave a name to this term involved an actual bug that caused unexpected behaviour.

Alternative term: Black feature.
Like a black sheep.
Surely no one will find a color offensive.

@Root apart from it's not doing what we expected. It's performing well. Well, apart from it's not performing as fast as we would like. It's performing fast. It's not as safe as any other piece of software too, but every software is different and has its own idiosyncrasies that we have to accept.
