Snaps suck - that's why Mint cut them out and also bought a fat build sever just so that they can deliver Chromium as deb package.

I don't wanna be that person, but I'm glad I switched to Arch btw.

Hopefully Ubuntu will give up the ghost, with snaps. It seems more likely though that they'll push even farther into the strategy that Elementary employs: abandoning apt/dpkg, and pushing all users to its graphical app store.

Ubuntu server has almost nothing in common with Ubuntu desktop, nowadays.
