When the school you attended changes their name after you’ve finished attending, how do you refer to the school you attended? Asking for a friend.

It’s me. I’m asking for myself.

Use the name that was in use at the time. You don't need to know what happens to them afterwards. Often, the organisation changes a lot when the name changes, so it's not the same place at all.

New name, the college or university is going to spend a lot marketing that new name and that will stick with most people.

My previous job involved school alumni communities, so we worked with this problem every day.

Use the new name so people have something to look up. Mention the old name somewhere (like in the first comment here) so that they know something has changed. I had this happen as well.
