Only technically, but people, resources, skill/experience, familiarity, and most importantly reach(yeah, there ARE people who can replace you, but it's not like everyone has access and knowledge of every person on earth) are all finite, so not always.
From another POV, "you are replaceable" doesn't necessarily mean "we can find someone BETTER than you". -
koes3373yIn any work environment people should be replaceable, sure. There must be a pretty good reason to replace someone good though. In a non-work environment (aka life) people are most definitely not replaceable.

@NeedABreak nah. On LinkedIn, there are just useless freaks that would stress away how they like the quote and provide their equally useless assessment or ass licking to look better in their corporate jail.

That's kinda why unions exist. You can replace individual employees when they wear out, but not a whole union.

hjk10157313yThere is good but there is also good at the right place at the right time.
With a few a few exceptions of truly exceptional individuals it's more about place and time. So even if you can replace someone with equally good the displaced person has a lot of in context knowledge. It can take easily a year to regain that. A lot can happen to make the product or company irrelevant in that time.
