Don’t know if I should be worried that I received an invite to a 1-on-1 meeting with the company CEO…

    Really these things can go either way. Have you had any conflicts recently? :)

    @Ison nah, me and conflicts don’t exist in the same universe

    I wonder what a conflict-less universe is like.
    Is there such a thing as too much harmony ?

    @-red a pretty relaxed place, let me tell you.

    Maybe he finds you cute and finally found the courage to tell you?

    Its depends how many layers of managment are between you. After two i wpuld worry.

    1. Don’t drink anything you are offered.
    2. Prepare your exit strategy, check the room blueprint.

    @petergriffin

    "I know I scheduled this as a 1:1, but I hope you don't mind I invited my wife as well. Now who will wear the latex suit?"

    Maybe, the CEO thinks about a new large-scale software project and wants your opinion.

    Such things normally don't happen - but a conflict-free workplace also is pretty unlikely...

    @petergriffin This is a very likely outcome, good luck.

    @bittersweet
    It's pronounced "la tech".

    @metamourge Both LaTeX and latex trigger feelings of confused anguished sexual excitement.

    Be sure to bring a beyblade and LET IT RIP!

    @fiftyhz it was, actually. Turns out they’d read something I had written and wanted to consult me on how they - as someone who themselves confessed to knowing very very little about devs and dev work - could help our department function better. My writings apparently had basically opened their eyes to the fact that devs have problems, too, as I had written about impostor syndrome, the difficulty of communication, the programmer’s block and so on…
