    3. Full control and customisation

    Feel free to keep going.

    5. Effective workflow
    6. Most dev envs were planned for linux initially
    7. Lightweight (debian, arch linux, and more)
7.5. Bash is faster than power shell and don't joke about batch language please, it's not even a language

    12. Get to brag about it.
    13. Unlike Windows, reboot doesn't solve 90% of the issues. So you actually have to know your system and the problem to solve it.
    14. Community (might also be the reason to hate *nix, some of them at least).

    @xociety There ya go.

@darkness in all fairness though, the community point is the same with windows. Or at least, I've known a fanboy (windows) to the motherFUCKING max

For all those who tell Windows is better than Linux, hats off. For all those who tell Linux is better than Windows, you're incredible and hardworking. LOL
  • 2
@reflexgravity Nah, I'm Linux user and I'm still lazy af

@athlon Yeah, I meant the first time you use it. You work hard to learn what is it. Especially when you change from windows to Linux.
  • 0
@reflexgravity Well, at the first time I couldn't even boot Linux 😂
  • 1
@athlon Yeah. Same here. When I did, it was like a different world. I was afraid I would do something wrong. LOL

@athlon and then you went through man pages of initscripts, runlevels, kernel modules, grub, xserver, fdisk and filesystems; and when you're almost ready to write your own os from scratch, you managed to solve the problem and now you're good to go right? (i actually like its hardships, in a masochist way :D)

I will talk to Linux (X11) exculsive software here.
i3wm is so fucking great to the point that once u get used to it, you feel freaking annoyed when you use other people pc which doesn't install i3wm.
(Amazing piece of software -> cant live without i3wm)
