Has anybody been forced by a PM or someone else to send clients passwords via email?

How should I tell them it's not best practice even if they are insisting?

I find it usually does not work to care more than the client in a given relationship.

If your frontend just wants 1 field in the data response - its no good your server spewing out pages and pages of data.

What's wrong with sending a password by mail? Worried about heartbleed?

I'm more worried a client is going to log in to his email account and leave the computer without logging out.

@digli Well I'd say that if they have gmail or any kind of email service that's in the PRISM program then it'd be highly irresponsible to send them passwords
