File hosting like GitHub?

Basically.. I want to let my Patreons download major updates to my game before I upload them to Github. Now, I will get a GitHub Developer upgrade once I get $7+ per month from Patreon, and host the updates on a private repository for a few days before uploading it to my main dev repository, but I something until then. Some place I can host the loose files, or a .zip at a static link for free. (that can only be accessed by that link) ^~^

If you need a private repo.. you don't even have to upgrade github. You can us either bitbucket or gitlab, both are excellent products which offers unlimited private repos.

If you just need to provide a URL to download your software, you can use Dropbox or Google drive.

@Cyanite Great choice! 👍 Even I use bitbucket for all my private repositories. :)

@vish Bitbucket turned out to not be what I needed. I'm just using Dropbox for now.

@Cyanite Ouch! Can you tell me what you found in github premium that is missing in bitbucket? I've been trying to figure that out since forever.

@vish Might also be a problem with GitHub, idk. You have to register to view/DL private repos. I think Dropbox the better choice here. I can password protect public files, but you don't have to register to DL them. There was a way with Bitbucket through an SSH key, but it required my system to be always online (which it isn't)

@Cyanite I see, so, you wanted to create a link only access to your repo! Then, yes, you can't do that on github too.

Dropbox is the way to go! 👍
