Fuck Windows. I just checked settings hoping to see the Creators update but noooo it's been failing to install a minor update for weeks now. And the best part is that the only solution might wind up being a clean reinstall. I need to be sleeping right now but I can't go to school in the morning without my laptop either so I'm fucked. I was already too deep in the recovery process by bedtime to back out. Fuck.

Update: the morning after
I didn't have to completely wipe the computer, thankfully. I had a system restore point from the beginning of the month. It said it failed and that my files weren't affected, but when it booted back into the OS, it said it had completed successfully.
At least 4 programs, including Google Chrome, had to be resinstalled because of weird behavior like extensions being installed but not having any content. Also had to reinstall graphics drivers.
Now I've only gotten 4 hours of sleep. Thanks, Windows.
