Alright boys.. calling in my networking friends for help..

Recently switched my ISP and got a fibre optic installed (100Mbps).

Thr ISP provided a new TP-Link router which supports 5GHz as well as 2.4GHz.

Some of my devices support 5GHz and connect to that network which works flawlessly.

However, my phone does not support 5GHz and hence, have to connect on 2.4GHz.

Somehow, the main router as well as the access point, are not functioning well for 2.4GHz. Whenever the connection is established, it would work fine for a minute or two before the networks starts disconnecting.

Restart the device Wi-Fi and it works for few moments and the cycle repeats.

I am not sure of what is causing this issue.

For the records, the access point is an old D-Link router. Why I mention this? Because funnily whenever the access point cable is plugged into the main router and I login to the router, the system logs me into the access point router (D-Link instead of TP-Link).

Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

Fun fact: The D-Link was a giveaway by one of my dR friends @Bigus-Dickus

Not sure, maybe the 2.4 GHz band is too noisy, or maybe the router is just crap. It could also be some setting in the router that your devices don't like. It could also be a deauthentication attack.

As for the "wrong" configuration page showing up, that sounds like you have an IP address conflict or some other configuration error.

@electrineer I just removed the access point cable from the main and things started working fine.

Should I just reset the access point router or I am thinking to deploy another spare TP-Link that I have?

You don't have a wireless issue. you have an ip conflict.
Disconnect the AP, and see if the main router works fine.
Then - recinfigure the old AP as a regular router, with its own ip address, and dhcp pool - say 192.168.45.0/255.255.255.0 and configure its WAN address as dynamic. Connect to the main router.
then connect your phone to the AP.

If you have a disconnect problem now - it is a wifi problem.
No problem - you have an IP conflict, or worse, the AP does not play well with the Main router.

    Two solutions

    Change router and try(immediate solution)

Wait for the phone update ( I was having same issue in my realme phone as well for my friend realme phone also after update it got resolved )

An update: You all are bloody geniuses.

It was indeed an IP conflict. The LAN IPs as below

    Previous setup:

    Main: 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.199.199

    AP: 192.168.0.1 to something

    New setup:

    Main:192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.199

    AP: 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.199

Hence, I had to set the IP range for my main back to previous one (since this router was new, I referred to my old TP-Link and just copied the setup).

Things are flawless now. I am on 100 Mbps fibre. Hurrah!

Love you guys for the help :)
