This is one of the cases where sharing on Twitter is the best course of action. Unlikely they'll get kicked into gear otherwise.
-
If you can't play it with a media player of your choosing, you don't have anything.

I had a somewhat similar experience three years ago. It's amazing how they have never fixed the issue.
I've got a solution for you: don't stream from a laptop or anything of the sort. Either use a smartphone + Chromecast combinaton or buy a smart TV.
There's no other way. -

@AlmondSauce have put it on Twitter but no reply so far. Doubt they’ll reply. Might just cancel because I cba with this crap

Nihil757553yDon't worry, you're not alone -
half the open-source ecosystem is trying to find a way to remove the M1 chip to get their code working again. -

hack64563y@bashleigh stop being a fanboy and uninstall that m1 chip already. Processors are sooo 2015, everyone uses cloud computing nowadays. Also you might consider downloading more ram while uninstalling it.

@bashleigh
..... They suggested you do a factory reset for your mac?
Kick those idiots into orbit around the sun. Also - insist they escalate to a Manager bc you want all of your money back.
Or use an android VM. -
@magicMirror It's a classic flowchart response from unskilled tech support guys. "Factory reset it" is annoying enough that it gets rid of people for a while, while they can do no actual work to solve the problem.
-
This came to mind the other day. I wonder if you could genuinely sue them for replacement hardware if you *actually* destroyed your Mac by trying to remove the physical M1 chip.
I mean, they are directly advising it after all.
