The last major version made IntelliJ Idea unbearably slow on my 1 year old Intel Core i7 PC.

Fuck it, as soon as I have one hour free I'm going to reinstall Java extensions on Neovim. Stack traces sucks enough even without seconds of lags when you try scrolling them.

    It's a bit of a resource hog, but considering it still runs fine on my 10 year old i5 machine, I'd say you have something else going on here....

    @AlmondSauce Maybe it's just a bad version: I have 50% RAM usage and 1% CPU usage

    I've got phpStorm 2021.3.3 running very nicely on a Core 2 Duo @3.16GHz . Thanks for the heads up, I'll google around before I go to 2022.1.2 ...

    Think there's something else funky going on. When in doubt try the same codebase with a new profile.
    Should be easier to test than learning a new tool for Java
