As a programmer, do you even have a life?

Define ”having a life”. What’s that even supposed to mean? What constitutes as having a life?

    Yes! Having a blast!

Yep, no issues there. I still have plenty social and love life despite work and hobbies.

I won't lie, sometimes it's hard to manage, but often it's chill, but I'd say that's true for everything in life.

Yeah, it is special. Especially when working on 24/7 stuff which pretty much is everything. You often worry but you will have to build enough stuff so that you minimize it. When you reach that point (and have a team around you, perhaps even operations on-board) of stability you stop worrying.

Remember, a week is 25 hours effective work time. That is all you get. The rest is noise! It’s hard what we do. Sometimes real hard. You can not expect to achieve miracles in that short time. The team however can! And remember, seniors protect the juniors at all times.

    Be careful out there!

Am I grown up and independent? No!
Am I leaving a trail of broken hearts behind me? No!
Am I spending the summer going to as many concerts and trips away as possible? Fuck yes!

    I can confirm I have a pulse

    Sure I do :)

A family and almost grownup kids do keep you busy.

And gaming nights keep the motivation up ;)

Concerts, travels, bars, yeah I’m okay I think 😁

Well, now that I am coding 5 hours a week, yes.

Nope, probably hanging myself in a few years or less, before I turn 30 (not joking)

Yes. I'm a worse programmer for it
