Today my manager asked me to provide technical skills. I replied with 'spring boot, react...(did not mention java)'.
He replied to me saying 'you know spring boot without java?'
Am I stupid thinking he should understand that already by seeing spring boot?

I was once told Java is only relevant because of Spring. It makes sense to me because Kotlin is widely adopted for Android development today, and now with Spring... Wouldn't surprise me if Java became a ghost of the old projects.

@Kernel you'd be surprised how extremely performant oltp apps run on java w/o spring. Not even legacy..

E.G. Oracle cloud runs on java
