I did 2 large public facing SPA with angularjs
did 2 internal app, and starting a new big public facing SPA in angular 2
Its harder to learn angularjs than angular
AngularJS is meant to die... So jump to Angular
Use the cli, will take the initial plumbing for you -
Go straight for angular 4.. Its 'just' a version number and they have a schedule for version 5, 6 and so on with 6 months between (if i remember correct)

If you like video tutorials then go to udemy and get the angular course with a Guy called Maximilian.. But wait till there is a offer on it for 10 $.. Dont Pay the normal 190

Yes, i both that course as well. For 10$ is ok. But not fabulous.
If you have money to spend, maybe spend on the John Papa courses on pluralsight -
