I want to resign my job as fresher with 5months experience. Because the work culture is toxic, I will not be assigned tasks properly and then I have to sit idle for hours waiting for review. I feel so sick. They fired one guy who joined 4months back stating performance issue when they didnt manage him properly.

@12bitfloat because it's very hard to sit there and do nothing. And there is no freedom as the manager keeps looking at you.

If your a fresher you still have a lot to learn so why aren’t you using this time to improve yourself by at least doing some training?

And there’s other things you could do, track down some hard to find bugs, learn about another part of your company, see if someone needs help.

If you regularly sit idle and you were on my team then you would be gone eventually because you aren’t contributing to yourself or the company. They shouldn’t have a work flow that means you get blocked like that, but that’s no excuse for wasting the time.

You mentioned your manager keeps looking at you. Is it because it’s obvious you’re not doing anything?
