Lost my cool on a colleague after she scolded me for saying “good morning,” as it was presumptuous of me to assume her morning was good…

Of course since she was already a soulless hag, it had no impact on her.

People getting offended because you are wishing good fortune on them...

I would be so tempted to say something like:

"I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to your guardian angle."

"Why do you think I want my morning to be good?"

@Demolishun but are you? Or are you merely stating that the morning is good?

Well screw it then, I hope you get hit by a bus. At least it’d change that bad stench expression you’re constantly wearing. And while we’re on the subject, I think it’s coming from that outfit of yours. Did you find it at the Salvation Army, or the dumpster behind it?

Sounds presumptuous of her to assume that you were assuming. Tell her to back those projections up and genuinely have a good morning.

@Root I got some of my best suits, brand new, from thrift stores. I didn't have a suit. So I went and found one for $80 at a thrift store. Had them altered by my in home tailor. I needed a suit like 3 hours before an event. I went to the event in my brand new suit. I was better dressed than everyone else there. It was an Italian style suit.

@Demolishun Totally agree. They can have some absolutely amazing finds for crazy cheap. (Usually not, but sometimes.) I had a friend who enjoyed thrift store diving, and she had quite a few really great finds.

Just… wash them. Thoroughly. Because everything from a thrift store smells like a thrift store, and sometimes keeps smelling like a thrift store.

    Really?

    Was it a Karen?

Damn, those people keep amazing me, stupid modern issues of those who have nothing else to really be concerned

Gosh, wouldn't it be nice that at the moment this person scolded you to just throw a fucking good slap?

That would say more than a billion words and will set him/her in the right state of mind.

damn, I think I got an erection just by thinking on this poetic justice being served, lol

“Today is opposite day. Didn’t you get…the memo?”

"If I had known 'Good morning' would have gotten you this upset I would have said it YEARS ago! I can't wait to see you screaming while crapping your pants on your birthday!!!"
