cpt-ado2848yI just wanna be alive when that happens, because there is no question it will (at least in my sci-fi fed head)

A module that is plugged into your brain that overrides the restrictions we have. -
cpt-ado2848y@nblackburn just a machine to let you access more information faster directly through your brain would be enough

grosten14508yThis is why we need AI-rules. These may be the two most important ones:
1. Do not let them change their own code.
2. Do not harm any individual. -
Voxera115738y@grosten Problem is to define harm :)
Asimov's laws of robotics are good for sci-fi but implementation would be impossible as we would not be able to cover all options. And using machine learning and other modern technics is of the table as that would amount to letting the computer design its own limitations ;) -
grosten14508y@Voxera Sounds legit. There must be some way to set limitations though, but then there's this one kid who builds his own robot, forgets about the rules and the world is doomed, right?

If an AI gets advanced enough to not require human support it will also be advanced enough to either just pamper us, or replace us.
But I think that long before that we will have neural interfaces that brings us to the next level so the AI will be part human ;)
