They are just want everyone to be safe. I know ultimately this is going to help them to achieve their goals.

Kro9k7798yThen he has a huge market in India...here most Govt. offices are still using XP...which they won't even patch or update ....
Ignorance is a bliss ...in this case Ignorance of govt is bliss for Nadella.. -
But also I think people will understand the importance of updates. And why they should do it regularly. Hope so everyone who is here there PC on Creators update.

@MCCshreyas well, I guess I am
I'm just hanging around devRant ATM because my Windows simply restarted without my consent to install an update -
Voxera113888yNot a chance.
First, its all but impossible to keep a major conspiracy secret.
Secondly, the tools was leaked weeks ago and NSA was stated as the source and every thing points to that being true.
Third. Microsoft released fixes for XP. If the goal was to try to force/scare users of obsolete platforms to upgrade they could just have stated their policy. XP is unsupported. And no one would think it strange.
Forth. The risk. If they dod something like this and got caught it would be life in prison and Microsoft is to successful for that kind if risk taking. -
@Krokoklemme You know there is setting for this specifically in settings app under update & recovery section. Check out that and change your restart time.

@MCCshreyas I told Windows that I'll restart manually later. It still just rebooted
-
@Krokoklemme Ohh. That's abnormal though. On which version your PC were running before update? Any idea?

Voxera113888y@jAsE I think MS might have forced this update harder. Both on work and at home I experienced that the update was more intensive in requesting to be restarted.
Maybe MS was afraid to let the worm nest.
