With how useless college is at preparing students for the work force, I don't see why a 3 month intensive boot camp type course couldn't do the same.

Zerq728y3 month course is a good start depending on the scope and ambition level.
you have time to learn a language maybe some html and working with databases... not very deeply but its a start...
If the course gives the studen plural sight access and he really takes advantage then its totally doable...
Wont be a great developer right away but will be a developer. -
Funny, the guy who acted this way towards me, a recent bootcamp grad, just got fired.

I went to one of these courses about a year ago. Now I work at a company full of smart people where I maintain the financial research tools on the website of one of the biggest investment management organizations in the world. I have friends who did the same course and have jobs that are cooler than mine. Point being, one can become a developer in a 3 month course.
My face when my friend told me he's going to take a 3 months course to become a developer.
