I hate the cold too. I actually live in interior Spain and in winter my city is always foggy. When it drops below zero and wind starts blowing you get tiny ice crystals within the fog blowing at you and tearing your face apart.

I can definitely agree that I can only stand cold while drunk.
At least here in Spain it's still somewhat affordable. 😅 -
@CoreFusionX how is the weather in Spain overall ? It's a southern country but it's still north compared to the usa
-
@AvatarOfKaine
USA is both northernmore (?) and southernmore than Spain.
Here though it's mostly three distinct climates.
In the "green north" stripe, typical oceanic climate, humid, mild and rainy.
The Mediterranean coast is aptly named Mediterranean climate, hot and dry summers, mild winters, tropical-like rains twice a year.
Spain's interior is hard continental climate. Stupidly hot and dry summers, rest of the year freezing. -
@AvatarOfKaine
Not so knowledgeable for the rest of Spain. In my area, small mammals and boars in more forested areas, prey birds. Wolves and bears in mountainous areas.
Usual stop points for migrating birds and insects (monarch butterflies, cigüeñas (can't remember the English name for my life)), flamingos and such. -
@CoreFusionX REALLY? there are still wolves? Packs ? Are they aggressive like in don quixote?
-
@AvatarOfKaine
I guess there are packs, it's their nature after all, but you ain't gonna be seeing them (not hardly anyone). You only see them if they are too hungry/desperate.
They are endangered all right, but they are native to my area.
When I was young I saw them quite the times, but as years went by they are more and more secluded to the few really wilderness areas that remain.
Pretty much the whole Spain north of Duero river is wolves area. -
@CoreFusionX kind of like pa and bobcats
My mom said as people moved into the area we lived in they started moving further away
Even a few degrees above freezing can be comfy if there is no wind
