!rant, throw everything away

When you spend 9 hour at work, 2 hours in that fucking exploded bus, tries to spend time with friends and family, spend enough time with that one special person, try to sleep descently and manage to work on your personal projects during that two hours in the bus, and that each day, each week, the whole year.
You need a lot of motivation!
But when today I loose two months of work because of a hardware problem and that (because I don't have internet in the bus) I didn't backup on GitHub , I just have lost all motivation and will!
I just can't anymore!
FML

Shit rarely hits by alone, take some deep breaths and get back on track :p

OK - couple of things. One, tough luck on losing your stuff but you must have had an internet connection sometime in the past 2 months to get your code backed up somehow. We all have to learn these lessons the hard way, me included. Hurts like hell - then you punch a wall and find out that hurts quite a lot too.

Two, you're balancing too much. Again, we usually have to learn this the hard way. I do cringe somewhat when people talk about struggling so much and then talk about personal projects. This is probably the thing you can most easily control so genuinely ask how important they are and how urgent.

And keep perspective. No-one's physically hurt and the world will not stop turning. Try to move on. But don't let your head drop. These are just challenges to be overcome.

@CrankyOldDev you are right​, I can only blame myself for loosing my work, and I have definitely learned my lessons..
You may be right, but on another hand, that project may become a startup one day, and I aspire to be my own boss someday.. just trying to keep following my dreams you know.. even if it's hard as hell.. it may not be urgent, but my routine may never change and my life is slowly passing by, still young but we all think that we're late on our dreams..
All in all you are right, it not a big problem but sometimes you just feel like the whole universe is against you..
