JoyRant new version:
* delete rant
* selectable text in rants and comments
* proper badge on Notifications tab, showing number of unread notifications!
* mention suggestions for comments!

Here is a screenshot of the mention suggestions above the keyboard:

It collects all the user names from the comments, except for the user of the rant’s author and the logged in user.

I dont think the comment page needs to take up the full page. I prefer for comment section where you can actually see the text you want to reply to. On devRant official and on your client that seems impossible. I always close the comment to view the text again and then to continue replying..

But then again i will never use ios so ur app i irrelevant for me anyways.

Looking pretty good, not gonna lie! However, I have a lot of pent up resentment towards SwiftUI, I can’t stand it 😅

@Lensflare don’t forget to include the OP in the mentions suggestions. That doesn’t seem to work for me.

@robbietoppert I explicitly remove the OP from the suggestions because the OP gets the notification anyway. And I feel like every comment is also directed to the OP implicitly.

@joewilliams007 Even though you won’t use the app, I’m grateful for your feedback.

I know exactly what you mean and I have experimented with the half sheet for that reason, so that you could see the comment that you are replying to.
But it turns out that it doesn’t help because the virtual keyboard takes up so much space that the remaining space is too small to fit the text box and the comment that you want to read.

I don’t have an idea how to solve this right now.

I dont know if something like that is possible on ios

And yea it doesnt show the mumber of characters or an attachment icon but that wouldnt be difficult to add
